47: ERP pt. 1: The (Surprisingly Spiritual) Framework I Wish I'd Had a Decade Ago

Welcome to the School of Raq! I'm so glad you're here.  In today's episode, we talk about a subject that's near and dear to my heart: ERP. ERP stands for Exposure and Response Prevention and it's a treatment for OCD, as well as many other anxiety disorders and other behavioral struggles. In this episode, we talk about ERP's uses outside of the clinical space, including how ERP can level up our shadow work. Essentially, ERP is about facing our fears intentionally--even (and perhaps especially) when we're not actively under threat. When we can do this frequently, we train our nervous systems to be able to handle the many trials that life throws our way with more confidence and resilience.  Today, we just talk about ERP's application and uses, and the basic logic of the method. In upcoming episodes, we'll talk about how to identify our fears, as well as how to actually apply the techniques of ERP to build more resilience around these fears.  Enjoy 3 Send us Fan Mail Music: "Future Abstract" by penguinmusic on pixabay.com  Operation Olive Branch's gofundme for a family encampment: https://www.gofundme.com/f/operationolivebranch Links for other Operation Olive Branch resources:  https://linktr.ee/opolivebranch?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=e5466e96-9bb2-4417-ad49-531855c29178 Book a free consult call, tarot/birth chart reading, coaching service, or get on the email list for exclusive updates: https://linktr.ee/schoolofraq Follow me on socials!
