I previously started this podcast before beginning my EPPP studying as a way to ease my way into it, but stopped due to audio recording issues earlier on with LOUD commercials. However, after having been studying for a few months now, this podcast has been very helpful in reviewing past sections and bringing my known information together in an integrative way that better helps me understand functioning.
That said, I do wish that there was a bit more fine-tuning in terms of more editing (to note the moments the host has misspoken, better adherence to pronunciations (the host often throws me off stating a term that I’m unfamiliar with until I realize what he means), and double checking notes/pre-reading them to remove any potential errors. Lastly, the ads are horrible. I wish there were ones more centered to the audience. Something about gambling ads while studying to become a licensed psychologist just feels wrong (haha).
That said, this podcast is very helpful and appreciate the way he has segmented. It’s helped me understand more than just terms, but functioning and connections to other materials.

Upon further review, I actually lowered my review (closer to 2.5 stars) as I felt that I was being a bit too generous. This podcast still has the benefits I mentioned, but after listening to most episodes, the host does not appear to listen to the episodes prior to posting. There continue to be volume issues, botched terms, and moments that he should edit out if he really wants folks to see this as a viable option for effective study. The unpolished nature of this podcast really does not lend itself to an exam where we need to be confident about terminology. His speed is also much too fast (I lower it in my app) for being able to retain effectively.
