Healthy Shouldn't Be Hard - Six Simple Tips to Live YOUR Best Life!

Be the 7%: Getting Healthy in an Unhealthy World... We have more health information at our fingertips than any generation before us. We can track our sleep, heart rate, steps, blood sugar, protein, calories and stress. We have podcasts, social media experts, supplements, wearables and longevity strategies promising to help us live longer and feel better. So why are we still so unhealthy?! In this episode of Fuller Expectations, Carrie explores the contradiction at the heart of health in America: we spend extraordinary amounts of money on healthcare and have unprecedented access to health information, yet only a small percentage of adults meet the definition of optimal cardiometabolic health. But this episode isn't about fear... and it isn't about trying to do everything. It's about becoming part of the 7%! Carrie looks at the shift from treating sickness to preventing it, the changing way we think about nutrition and movement, America's new dietary guidelines, the importance of advocating for yourself within the healthcare system, and the growing phenomenon of longevity anxiety...that overwhelming feeling that you're somehow falling behind if you aren't tracking, supplementing, fasting, cold plunging, strength training and optimizing every minute of your life. The good news? You don't need to do everything! You need to consistently do the things that matter. Because the goal isn't simply to add more years to your life. It's to add more healthy, active, meaningful life to your years. You don't have to be perfect - you just have to be intentional. Be the 7%. YOU CAN!!! And we are with you!

The 'Bounce Bank' - Rejection or Uncertainty...What Is It Telling Me?

What if rejection isn’t a sign that you’re not good enough, but an opportunity to learn, grow, and get ready for what’s next? In this episode of Fuller Expectations, Carrie explores how we respond when life tells us “no.” She shares a personal story about becoming a finalist for a job she really wanted, not getting the position, and then doing something many of us are afraid to do: calling back and asking 'why'. What could she have done differently? What was the other candidate bringing to the table that she lacked? And most importantly, what could she learn from the experience? This episode is about turning rejection into information instead of allowing it to define your confidence. It’s about asking for feedback, advocating for yourself, taking chances even when failure is possible, and remembering that one person’s decision does not determine your potential. Carrie also speaks to parents of teens and twenty-somethings who are still figuring out who they want to become. Think about how many versions of you there have been throughout your lifetime. Very few of us end up exactly where we thought we would when we were 18 or 22 - and that’s not failure. That’s growth. Whether you’re 25 and searching for your path, 45 and questioning the one you chose, or 60 and ready for another reinvention, there is still time to change direction, take a chance on yourself, and become another version of who you were meant to be. Rejection is information, it's not your identity. The question isn’t simply, “Why didn’t they choose me?” It’s “What can I learn from this—and what am I going to do next?”

The Season After - Episode 3 in a 3-Part Series Featuring Guest, Ed Doherty

Life is made up of seasons. Some arrive with excitement and possibility. Others bring unexpected change, loss, waiting, or uncertainty. In this 3-episode series, Carrie sits down with author, speaker, and leadership consultant, Ed Doherty, to explore how every season of life (whether chosen or not) has the power to shape who we become. In Episode 1, we explored how to recognize the season you're in and why resisting change often creates more struggle than growth. Episode 2 examined how life's most difficult seasons can become our greatest teachers, revealing strengths and wisdom we never knew we possessed. Now, in the final episode of the series, Carrie and Ed turn their attention to what comes next. What happens when one chapter closes? How do we let go of the identity we've outgrown and embrace the possibilities waiting in the next season? Whether you're facing an empty nest, retirement, a career transition, the loss of someone you love, a health challenge, or simply feeling called toward something new, this conversation is an invitation to see endings not as failures, but as beginnings. Together, Carrie and Ed discuss why reinvention is possible at any age, how curiosity and purpose can guide us into our next chapter, and why some of life's greatest opportunities don't appear until we're willing to leave the familiar behind. If you've ever wondered, "What's next for me?" this episode is for you. Because every ending is also the beginning of a new season - and sometimes, the best chapters of our lives are still waiting to be written!
