INTERVIEWER TOO ANNOYING

Not sure how I first heard about Michael Gervais but was looking forward to this podcast. Despite a few amazing guests (Caroline Leaf, Brene Brown), I found myself gnashing my teeth each time Gervais interrupted/interjected with his annoying comments/viewpoints. His lack of interviewing skills were sorely apparent with Alex Honnold. Either he did not properly research climbing as a sport or could not get past his awe of Alex's ability to overcome his fears, but he failed in showing any respect for climbing as a sport or shedding any new light into how Alex mastered his skills. Instead, Gervais was stuck in his own stereotypical & limiting viewpoint and only succeeded in making Alex look more like a freak of nature at the local freak show than someone who has mastered his craft. I've pushed off deleting the podcast for several months now, waiting to discover new insightful guests. But it's hopeless. Even with good guests, it's difficult to get past Gervais' nonstop self-important blabbering. Plus, product endorsements were too many and way too long.
