E152: Bringing Joy to the Home

E152: Bringing Joy to the Home

There is a kind of medicine that we don't consider or use enough. I'm referring to what's written in Proverbs 17:22. The Bible says, "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

In this sermon, we study the topic of bringing joy to our homes. How can we all have a joyful heart? The one thing each family member can do is to be content! Learning to be content is a way to bring great joy to our homes.

    1. I discuss how discontentment destroys joy.

    2. The expectation God has for us to be content.

    3. How to learn to be content.

    May God bless you!

E151: Do Not Be Deceived: Bad Company Corrupts Good Morals

E151: Do Not Be Deceived: Bad Company Corrupts Good Morals

There's a passage that is often quoted and shared with young Christians from 1 Corinthians 15:33: "Do not be deceived: Bad Company ruins good morals." Who was the bad company the apostle Paul was referring to?

In this podcast, I walk through the first part of 1 Corinthians 15 to find the answer.

The bad company Paul refers to and what they believed may come as a surprise to you.

Be sure to check out my website www.benjaminlee.blog where you can find sermon outlines to these recordings as well.

E150: I AM The Good Shepherd

E150: I AM The Good Shepherd

In John 10 Jesus said, "I AM the Good Shepherd.

    1. Why did Jesus make this statement?

    2. What does it mean for His people?

John 10 provides us with great promises from our King and Shepherd.

Let's sit at the feet of Jesus and consider our Shepherd and what He has done for us and how we need to respond.

E149: We Do Not Know What To Do: The Prayer of Jehoshaphat

E149: We Do Not Know What To Do: The Prayer of Jehoshaphat

Life has a way of making us ask, “What am I supposed to do?” Have you ever felt that way? Our response in difficult moments is to turn to God in prayer. This is what King Jehoshaphat did in 2 Chronicles 20.

I had an absolute blast talking to Robert Cheeke in this episode. You will definitely want to take notes. Below is Robert's Bio.

I recently decided to follow a plant based lifestyle. The results I've seen in 40 days have been amazing! My health coach Eva Latchem (who is a part of this discussion) sent me Roberts book. It came at the perfect time for me in this journey! I highly recommend you check out his book as well.

Robert grew up on a farm in Corvallis, Oregon where he adopted a vegan lifestyle in 1995 at age 15, weighing just 120 pounds. Today he is the author of the books, Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness, Shred It!, Plant-Based Muscle, and the New York Times Bestseller, The Plant-Based Athlete. He is often referred to as the “Godfather of Vegan Bodybuilding,” growing the industry from infancy in 2002, to where it is today. He tours around the world sharing his story of transformation from a skinny farm kid to champion vegan bodybuilder. Truth. Passion. Positivity.

We all need more of this in the world. I love how Ben covers multiple topics and spreads the truth from the Bible. He has a passion for the Lord and that is seen in every aspect of his life and his family. He wants to share with others. I am so thankful for the men and women who do this and more to spread the kingdom work and love!
