A small town cop is gunned down in a swamp in the summer of 2015. He quickly became a martyr in the national media, until a dogged investigator uncovered the officer's bizarre and dark past. When the truth comes out, the townspeople must reconcile betrayal, corruption and the secrets of an American hero. This wonderful week brings us thespian-extraordinaire Jeff Daniels. We deep-dive on craft, hear about collaborators from Sorkin to Cagney to Forman, and the essential power of flop sweat. But at the end of the day, it’s all about whatever gets us on the 10/405 interchange quickest. When life gives you Monday, dip it in glitter and make it sparkle all week.
Day bartender and Egyptian silk connoisseur Jon Stewart joins us for a chat. Comedian, writer, director, and television host, Jon shares so much with us, from the invention of the combustion engine to MC Hammer quotes. This is a man who knows how to think, knows how to talk, and knows his Judge Judy. Plus, Sean gets put in the penalty box!... on another arousing episode of SmartLess.
My new commute to work is about 40 minutes each way and I’m almost able to get two episodes in a day. I was late to the party, so I don’t care about the pay wall. I just enjoy listening to these three guys. Their guests are good to!
Hearing about how these very rich hosts have gotten richer from this podcast makes me sick. $2,000 cab rides?! We’re in the middle of a pandemic. They are all so tone deaf, I can’t even.
Can’t get enough!
You know you love a podcast when you do not want it to end! I cannot stop listening and I cannot stop talking about the phenomenal, hilarious friendship chemistry of Jason, Sean and Will. There isn’t a bad episode in the library, but when former cast mates or cronies join them I am usually laughing out loud from the banter or enthralled by their behind the scenes tales. Thank you for being such a bright spot in my week!
