Why She Stayed
A podcast where we dive deep into what really goes on inside of domestic violence relationships that makes it so hard to simply "just leave". Through stories of survivors, and practical conversations with guests, I am going to put the microscope back on what the abuser is doing that causes us to become so trapped in the first place, and how each survivor was eventually freed. We will discuss what abusive relationships look like, sound like, and feel like for the purpose of educating and relating to one another in a much needed way. Hosted on Acast. A Must Listen
Dec 13
I haven’t discovered other podcasts about domestic violence with such clarity and acuity. These podcasts are so thoughtfully created, with repeating themes and concrete examples of DV. No matter what stage of the situation you may be experiencing, from the first red flag, to post divorce, Grace covers every aspect of the experience. This is appropriate for people experiencing DV and for loved ones seeking excellent advice on how to help/support someone going through this. It’s appropriate for counselors and healthcare workers and support staff. This will help validate your experience over and over and over. When you feel like you’re going crazy, like maybe you’re responsible for the situation, like there’s no hope and no way out, this podcast will help you. I guarantee it. There is so much evidence based information as well as anecdotal detail. You will learn how the abuser thinks, finally. Thank you SO MUCH Grace for the hard work you put into this.

This podcast is helping me heal in so many ways. The validation of what I’ve been through and still continuing to endure post break up has kept me strong and moving in the right direction to a healthier life and healing place in my life. Thank you to all who share their stories, wisdom, and truth. God will always use what was meant to harm us for good… and this podcast proves that. Thank you Grace.
