The No. 6 Miami Hurricanes are 4-0 after crushing the Central Michigan Chippewas 52-3 at Hard Rock Stadium. Central Michigan took an early 3-0 lead, but Miami answered with 52 consecutive points and scored touchdowns on six straight possessions. Darian Mensah delivered another dominant performance, completing 23 of 27 passes for 338 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions while adding 21 rushing yards and another score. Mensah has now completed 94 of 106 passes for 1,211 yards, 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions through Miami’s first four games. Malachi Toney caught six passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Chris Wheatley-Humphrey provided a breakout performance with 104 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Miami rushed for 201 yards, averaged 5.9 yards per carry and finished with 572 yards of total offense. The Hurricanes defense held Central Michigan to 158 total yards, including only 21 rushing yards, while producing four sacks, eight tackles for loss and three takeaways.
