Soulful and Sober | Alcohol Free Living for Midlife Women

Chrissy Janiga | Intuitive Alcohol Free Coach

Soulful and Sober is for the woman in midlife who wants to stop drinking, break the alcohol start-over cycle, and finally feel good in her alcohol-free life. Maybe you look put together on the outside, but privately you’re exhausted from moderating, making alcohol rules, taking breaks, starting over, or wondering if your drinking is really a problem. You want to stop thinking about alcohol so much, trust yourself again, feel better in your body, and create a life you actually enjoy without needing a drink to relax, cope, or have fun. Here, we go beyond simply quitting drinking and talk about what actually helps you stay alcohol-free and move forward: anxiety, sleep, cravings, self-trust, relationships, food noise, perfectionism, people-pleasing, intuition, purpose, and the deeper patterns that can keep you stuck. I’m Chrissy Janiga, a licensed social worker, alcohol-free coach, and author of Soul-Led Sobriety. I spent years questioning my own relationship with alcohol, trying to moderate, making rules, taking breaks, and wondering if I really needed to stop because my life still looked successful from the outside. I finally walked away from alcohol in 2022, and it changed far more than what was in my glass. I started this podcast because I know how lonely and confusing that in-between place can feel, especially when you haven’t hit a traditional “rock bottom” but you know alcohol is keeping you from the life you want. I want to give you the honest conversations, practical tools, and deeper support I wish I had when I was figuring it out for myself. If you’re new here, start with my free training, The 3 Shifts That Help Women Break Free From the Alcohol Start-Over Cycle and Wake Up to the Life They’re Meant to Live. Ep 66 - How Going Alcohol-Free Can Help You Find Your Purpose

If you've been wondering how to find more purpose after quitting alcohol, you're not alone. Many women discover that once they stop drinking or even begin questioning their relationship with alcohol they start asking deeper questions about who they are, what they truly want, and how they want to spend their life. In this episode of the Soulful and Sober Podcast, I share why purpose isn't something you have to figure out overnight. Instead, it's something you uncover as you become more present, build self-trust, and start living in alignment with what truly matters. We discuss: * Why quitting alcohol often opens the door to a more meaningful life * How to stop putting pressure on yourself to "find your purpose" * The connection between sobriety, self-discovery, and personal growth * How your nervous system influences clarity and decision-making * Why fear and limiting beliefs keep you stuck * Practical ways to reconnect with yourself and take the next right step * How your healing journey can become part of your purpose Whether you're sober curious, taking a break from alcohol, or have been alcohol-free for years, this episode will help you stop chasing the perfect plan and start creating a life that feels authentic, peaceful, and deeply fulfilling.
