Michelle Cooksey and Francesca Sipma unpack what it actually takes to leave the security of corporate life, trust your intuition, and redefine success on your own terms. Michelle shares how burnout transformed her leadership style from ego-driven and validation-seeking to relationship-driven leadership built on trust, psychological safety, and self-awareness. They explore why building strong relationships with your team directly impacts performance, how to hire self-starters and critical thinkers, and why the way you lead others starts with the way you lead yourself. They also get personal about grief, losing a parent, Michelle and her husband arriving at a Bali HypnoBreathwork® retreat broken up and leaving together, and how breathwork helped her develop the self-trust to make one of the biggest decisions of her life. In this episode: Why ego-driven leadership leads to burnout, and what conscious leadership looks like instead How to build real trust, loyalty, and psychological safety with your team What quitting a six-figure job actually feels like — the fear, the self-doubt, and the intuition you can't ignore Using breathwork to trust yourself when everyone around you wants an explanation How grief changes your relationship to work, ambition, and time Leading through loss without abandoning yourself in the process TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Emotional safety vs. chemistry 01:40 Leaving a 23-year career 07:20 Ego-driven vs. heart-led leadership 08:20 Self-trust, fear and the leap 12:38 Purpose requires patience 21:14 Building high-performing teams 30:31 How grief changes ambition 43:42 Living fully, leading consciously CONNECT WITH MICHELLE COOKSEY: Website: jmichellecooksey.com Instagram: @jmichellecooksey Newsletter Subscribe Link: https://jmichellecooksey.myflodesk.com/subscribe Sunday Leadership Email: subscribe via her Instagram bio  Connect with Francesca Sipma & The Mastry Experience: Website: francescasipma.com | mastryexperience.com Instagram: @francescasipma (https://www.google.com/search?q=https://www.instagram.com/francescasipma) &@mastryexperience (https://www.instagram.com/mastryexperience) This episode’s Mastry App recommendation is Belief (http://app.mastry.me/s/eC8wAT) under Peak Performance Category. Marcus reveals why veterans can feel behind after service, how unprocessed trauma follows them home, and how he rebuilt his identity through responsibility, entrepreneurship, community, and breathwork. The defining insight: your identity does not end when a chapter closes. The discipline, grit, leadership, and resilience you built can become the foundation of a new mission. You’ll learn how to: • Rebuild purpose after losing a role that defined you • Use hypnobreathwork to quiet mental noise and hear your next action • Create emotional safety so men can process instead of isolate • Turn military skills and hardship into entrepreneurial strength • Act on intuition before doubt becomes procrastination Put it into practice: List five strengths your hardest chapter gave you. How to Navigate Loss and Process Grief | Ep. 47

Get Huel today with my exclusive offer of 15% OFF online with my code MASTRY at huel.com/MASTRY (http://huel.com/[CODE]). New Customers Only. Thank you to Huel for partnering and supporting our show!  In this personal Solo Episode of The Mastry Experience, Francesca honors Bryan Marville — someone she once loved, and whose passing led her to revisit a wild, complicated, formative chapter of her twenties. She speaks honestly about grief, shared memories, regret, forgiveness, and the letter that helped bring peace before it was too late. Bryan Marville was a founder, brand strategist, and entrepreneur known for combining creative thinking with a deep commitment to performance, sustainability, and the outdoors. He founded WORN, an apparel company created to challenge commodity cotton basics and fast fashion through high-performance, lower-impact materials, including its technically enhanced Merino wool platform. Before building WORN, Bryan held senior strategy and innovation roles at leading agencies including Berlin Cameron, Jack Morton Worldwide, Droga5, and Grey Group. With a master's degree in Advertising Strategy from Virginia Commonwealth University, he brought a sharp understanding of brand, user experience, and culture to every project he touched. That perspective was hard-earned. An Eagle Scout and lifelong adventurer, Bryan bow-hunted in the backcountry of Idaho, sailed waters from the Hudson to the Andaman Sea off Thailand, and surfed, snowboarded, and traveled his way around the world — always returning with a sharper sense of what gear actually needs to do in the field. Remembered as a creative storyteller, outdoorsman, and generous friend, Bryan approached life with equal parts ambition, curiosity, and humor. He passed away in May 2026 at age 43, leaving a lasting impact on the people, ideas, and ventures he inspired. This is an episode about aliveness. Bryan built, traveled, created, loved, and lived boldly. His life is a reminder that fulfillment is not measured only in years, but in how completely we use the time we have. Honor Bryan's work: Explore WORN, the sustainable performance-apparel company Bryan built from the ground up — technical Merino wool, built to last: wornofftheradar.com You'll learn: Why grief can feel intense even after years without contact How unresolved emotions live beneath loss Why apology and forgiveness matter before closure is possible How breathwork can help you access what words cannot How mortality can sharpen your purpose and move you to live bigger Timestamps: 01:11 — Losing someone who once knew you deeply 03:00 — The life Bryan built, and how fully he lived 07:11 — A complicated love, healing, and forgiveness 09:30 — The words left unsaid 11:14 — What grief teaches us about living boldly 13:25 — Honoring Bryan and choosing surrender CONNECT WITH FRANCESCA SIPMA & THE MASTRY EXPERIENCE: Instagram: @francescasipma (https://www.google.com/search?q=https://www.instagram.com/francescasipma) &@mastryexperience (https://www.instagram.com/mastryexperience)Website: francescasipma.com | mastryexperience.com 👍 Like if this proved that the inner work produces real, measurable results 🔔 Subscribe & hit the bell — new episodes every week 📲 Share with a high-performer who's strong everywhere except where it actually counts This episode’s Mastry App recommendation is Surrender (http://app.mastry.me/s/ACoBr1) under Growth Category. How to Quit Your Successful Career (and Hear Your Intuition) | Bree Johnson Ep. 46

Thank you to Huel for partnering and supporting our show! Francesca Sipma sits down with Bree Johnson — former employment attorney, law firm managing partner, founder of Executive Unschool and the Work Recovery System, host of How Good Can It Get, and certified HypnoBreathwork® coach — to unpack the hidden cost of ambition, how to heal your work wounds, and what becomes possible when your identity is no longer defined by productivity. After thousands of conversations with executives at their lowest, Bree coined the term “work wounds” to describe the invisible damage people carry from job to job without language for what happened — or a way to move through it. Her framework identifies the 4 B’s: bullying, burnout, bad behavior, and betrayal. This conversation goes beyond identifying the wound. Bree and Francesca explore performative ambition, separating self-worth from work, trusting intuition, redefining wealth, and using deep inner work to create success without sacrificing yourself to achieve it. They also explore soulmate-level partnership and what Bree calls beliefs-level intimacy — connecting through dreams, values, purpose, and the life you’re intentionally building together. WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH: → The Work Wounds framework and the 4 B’s — and why naming your wound can stop you from carrying it into your next chapter → How ambitious identity can become a ceiling, even when it was responsible for your success → What performative ambition looks like and how to release it without losing your edge → Why separating your worth from your work changes how you lead, perform, and make decisions → The unexpected fear beneath Bree’s desire for “more” uncovered during breathwork → What doing the inner work alongside your partner can create beyond surface-level intimacy → A different definition of wealth: relationships, health, creative freedom, purpose, and time TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Bree’s journey: attorney → law firm leader → Executive Unschool 06:03 Work Wounds explained: the 4 B’s 10:18 Francesca’s work wound & the need to overprove 13:51 Separating your worth from your work 18:20 Performative ambition & learning to rest 23:02 The TEDx opportunity that arrived when Bree stopped pushing 44:43 The hidden fear beneath wanting “more” 57:06 How healing creates a ripple effect through families 59:00 Partnership, Bali & beliefs-level intimacy 1:00:27 Redefining wealth beyond money 1:02:40 Breathwork debrief: “I decide” & reconnecting with her younger self 1:09:15 Where to find Bree + Mastry App recommendation CONNECT WITH BREE JOHNSON Instagram: @breejohnsonofficial | @executiveunschool Podcast: How Good Can It Get Retreat: Wisconsin — November (details on Bree’s socials) CONNECT WITH FRANCESCA SIPMA & THE MASTRY EXPERIENCE Instagram: @francescasipma (https://www.instagram.com/francescasipma) | @mastryexperience (https://www.instagram.com/mastryexperience) Website: francescasipma.com | mastryexperience.com If this episode gave language to something you’ve been carrying, share it with someone who needs to hear it. 👍 Like if this gave you permission to want something different from what you’ve been chasing 🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell — new episodes every week 📲 Share with a high achiever building something big while feeling the weight of it MASTRY APP This episode’s recommended sessions are Getting Centered (http://app.mastry.me/s/eQViYD) under Flow Category. Thank you to Huel for partnering and supporting our show!  In Part 2, Tyler Noyes shares how HypnoBreathwork® helped him map his romantic history, see what kept repeating, and ask a better question: not “Who do I want?” but “Who do I need to become?” That work changed how he showed up when he met Corliss. Instead of overanalyzing or protecting himself, Tyler trusted what he felt. He flew from Denver to Los Angeles for their first date, met her family on their second trip, and used vulnerability and breathwork to build emotional safety early. The defining insight: relationships are mirrors. You cannot control another person, but you can take responsibility for the beliefs, defenses, and energy you bring into love. Change your patterns, and you change who you are available to attract. You’ll learn how to: • Spot the pattern connecting your past relationships • Replace blame with honest self-responsibility • Separate intuition from fear and overthinking • Create emotional safety through vulnerability • Invest in growth from alignment—not inadequacy • Define success through time, health, relationships, and meaning TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Mapping relationship patterns 02:04 Become the partner you want 06:05 When intuition looks illogical 11:39 Vulnerability changes the relationship 14:22 Their second-date PowerPoint 18:04 Investing in your next level 27:21 Redefining wealth and success 34:11 Breaking imposter syndrome’s ceiling Watch Part 1: Breathwork for High Performance with Tyler Noyes | Ep. 45 Part 1 CONNECT WITH TYLER NOYES: Instagram: @tylersnoyes LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tylersnoyes (https://www.instagram.com/tylersnoyes/#) CONNECT WITH FRANCESCA SIPMA & THE MASTRY EXPERIENCE: Instagram: @francescasipma (https://www.google.com/search?q=https://www.instagram.com/francescasipma) &@mastryexperience (https://www.instagram.com/mastryexperience) Website: francescasipma.com | mastryexperience.com If this episode gives you clarity, like the video, subscribe or follow, and share it with someone ready for healthier love. Get Huel today with my exclusive offer of 15% OFF online with my code MASTRY athuel.com/MASTRY (http://huel.com/[CODE]). New Customers Only. Thank you to Huel for partnering and supporting our show!  In Part 1, Francesca sits down with Huel GM, entrepreneur, endurance athlete, and HypnoBreathwork® coach Tyler Noyes. Fresh from climbing Everest’s elevation at 29029, Tyler shares what surfaced when his body was exhausted with nowhere left to hide. A year earlier, injury, heartbreak, friendship loss, and depression had collided. Tyler tried to solve it like many high performers do: work harder, analyze more, and push through. Even talk therapy became something his analytical mind could debate. Then one HypnoBreathwork® session after a Navy SEAL workout unlocked emotion and memories he had not touched in decades. Breathwork gave his “monkey mind” a job: follow the breathing pattern. As mental noise softened, Tyler could access the beliefs beneath his performance, process what he had compartmentalized, and hear a clear next step. That final intuitive action moved the work beyond insight and into change. The proof was not another achievement. It was the vulnerable conversation with his mom that he kept postponing—and later a shared breathwork session that replaced old pain with compassion and connection. You’ll learn how to: • Recognize when productivity is emotional avoidance • Use breathwork to access emotion beneath overthinking • Turn subconscious insight into courageous action Try this: Name what you keep trying to outwork. Ask, “What am I protecting myself from feeling?” Then take one honest action within 24 hours. TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Friendship and honest truth 02:17 Everesting and the inner conversation 06:17 When high performance stops working 11:16 Emotional courage with his mom 19:03 Why breathwork works for high performers 22:16 When survival patterns overstay This is personal development, spirituality, and peak performance from the inside out: regulate your nervous system, release the pattern, and trust your inner guidance. Part 2 drops next week: Tyler confronts his repeating relationship patterns, asks who he must become to attract healthy love, and follows an “illogical” intuition across the country for a first date. What follows changes how he understands vulnerability, timing, and “when you know, you know.” CONNECT WITH TYLER NOYES: Instagram: @tylersnoyesLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tylersnoyes (https://www.instagram.com/tylersnoyes/#) CONNECT WITH FRANCESCA SIPMA & THE MASTRY EXPERIENCE: Instagram: @francescasipma (https://www.google.com/search?q=https://www.instagram.com/francescasipma) &@mastryexperience (https://www.instagram.com/mastryexperience) Website: francescasipma.com | mastryexperience.com If this episode showed you what's possible — share it with one person who's been outworking a problem that needs a different approach. 👍 Like if this gave you permission to want something different than what you've been chasing 🔔 Subscribe & hit the bell — new episodes every week 📲 Share with an entrepreneur who's building something big and feeling the weight of it This episode’s Mastry App recommendation is Think Bigger (http://app.mastry.me/s/KsAkYF) session under  Peak Performance . In this solo episode, Francesca shares the deeply personal lessons from her 13th trip to Bali — where she arrived feeling frustrated, reactive, disconnected, and weighed down by resentment, and left with a profound return to compassion, intuition, acceptance, and service. From Ubud’s jungle stillness to breathwork, meditation, family constellations, sound healing, and difficult moments of sitting with grief and discomfort, this is an honest look at what real personal transformation can require. About

Welcome to The Mastry Experience — where self-awareness meets peak performance. This show dives deep into mental mastery. You’re about to witness the truth behind personal development, real people experiencing emotional breakthroughs, healing, getting into flow state, discovering their purpose, and mastering the heart of everything we do – taking intuitive action. We do this through a process called HypnoBreathwork® — combining breathwork to clear suppressed emotions, hypnosis to reprogram subconscious beliefs, and visioning for mental clarity toward your highest self and goals. And we do it in a hyper-efficient 22-minutes. Each week, we’re going to have intimate conversations with masters of their craft and take you through hypnobreathwork sessions. This is your community committed to breaking behavior patterns, getting into alignment, pursuing excellence and self-mastery. This is The Mastry Experience. Let’s do the work! Hosted by Francesca Sipma, founder of HypnoBreathwork® and Mastry.
