What If We've Been WRONG About Emotionally Unavailable People? | Season 3 Premiere

Season 3 is officially here! 🎉 We've missed you all, but we're back and better than ever! Welcome to the premiere episode of The Dr. Sarah Hensley Show. What if we've been wrong about emotionally unavailable people all along? For years, emotionally unavailable partners have been labeled as cold, uncaring, or incapable of love. But what if the psychology tells a very different story? In this Season 3 premiere, Dr. Sarah Hensley explores the science of attachment theory, the psychology behind emotional unavailability, and why the dismissive avoidant attachment style is so often misunderstood. You'll discover how childhood experiences, nervous system adaptation, and subconscious protective strategies can create emotional distance—not because someone doesn't care, but because connection has become associated with vulnerability. Whether you've struggled in a relationship with a dismissive avoidant partner, identify with avoidant attachment yourself, or simply want to better understand relationship psychology, this episode offers practical insight grounded in psychology rather than stereotypes. If you're ready to understand relationships on a deeper level, you're in the right place. Welcome to an all-new season of The Dr. Sarah Hensley Show—where psychology meets practical strategies to help you build healthier relationships, improve emotional regulation, and create lasting secure attachment. 👍 Like, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who's trying to understand emotionally unavailable relationships. Tune in every Tuesday morning for candid conversations, expert insights, and the guidance you need to navigate love and relationships in today’s world. Confidence, Solved

Confidence isn't something you build. It's what's left over. You've done the pose. Hands on hips, chest out, an affirmation on a sticky note stuck to the mirror. And then you walked into the room feeling exactly the same, or worse. Here's what nobody tells you: the entire concept of confidence you've been sold was invented by an anxious preacher in the 1940s who mistook his own coping mechanism for a universal law. The research is even uglier. Affirmations reliably make insecure people feel less secure. Visualizing success decreases motivation. The most famous confidence technique in history was built on a study of 42 people that the lead author eventually had to abandon. In this episode we trace where it all went wrong, from Norman Vincent Peale to power poses to the self-esteem movement that quietly failed a whole generation. Then we get into what actually works: a discovery made in a room full of snakes, a 2,000-year-old framework that turns out to be empirically correct, and why the sequence runs exactly backwards from everything you've been taught.  Get your free PDF guide: https://solvedpodcast.com/confidence.  CHAPTERS: (00:00) CHAPTER 1: Why Confidence Advice Is Backwards  (07:46) Norman Vincent Peale and positive thinking  (10:44) The Peale Fallacy (16:09) When confidence was a sin (27:41) Do affirmations work? #48 Neža Majdič - šport, prehana in zdravo hujšanje

Friendship Red Flags You Need to Stop Ignoring

Friendship breakups can be just as painful as romantic ones (sometimes even more painful.) We're taught to look out for the red flags in relationships, but we don't talk nearly enough about the red flags that show up in unhealthy friendships. In this episode, I'm breaking down four types of friends you should look out for..1. the friend who resents your growth2. the friend who turns everything into a competition3. the friend who constantly talks badly about their other friends4. the friendship "love bomber" Whether you're navigating friendship struggles in your 20s, healing from a friendship breakup, or learning how to build healthier relationships, this episode will hopefully help you recognize toxic patterns in friendship. If you've ever questioned whether a friendship is helping you grow or holding you back, this episode is for you. ❤️‍🩹 Trying Not to Care is sponsored by Betterhelp - Sign up and get 10% off at BetterHelp.com/TNTC KEEP UP WITH ME ON SOCIAL MEDIAInstagram: Ashley's Instagram | Trying Not to Care InstagramTikTok: Ashley's TikTok | Trying Not to Care TikTokYoutube: Subscribe hereAmazon Storefront and more: LTXWANT TO ASK ME QUESTIONS? #14 doc. dr.

Dr. Vito Štukovnik lahko kontaktirate preko maila (info@vitastukovnik.si) ali preko Instagram profila @drstukovnik_spanje V pogovoru omenjava knjige Zakaj Spimo (Matthew Walker), Life Time: The New Science of the Body Clock, and How It Can Revolutionize Your Sleep and Health (Russel Foster), Man's Search for Meaning (Viktor Frankl).
