i am a busy 22 year old and this podcast helps me stay updated on the technologies that will define my future. hearing nuanced, down to earth conversation about the existential issues AI poses is weirdly comforting! everyone needs to be taking the realities of AI seriously and listening to this podcast is an efficient way to stay engaged.

Was getting anxious listening. Figured it was just the subject matter. Oy vey. Then put it on .75 speed and felt so much better right away. 10/0 highly recommend. Love you guys.
Used to Love It

I’ve been listening to this show since it first started, and it was consistently one of my favorites. Unfortunately Kevin Rose has apparently been red pilled - the most recent apologist stance for Signal-gate was my last straw. I’ve unfollowed and I’m out for good - Casey is more grounded but that’s not worth much if you aren’t willing to speak out against the obvious nonsense being spouted.
Okay-ish

Recommend by a colleague so I listen occasionally. The overt political bias is distracting
Content is amazing, but one of the hosts needs to see an otolaryngologist.

I really love these podcasts, but something about Casey sounding like the quintessential nerd from the 80s with phlegm in his sinuses just drives me nuts.
AI Shills

“Uhhh I basically want AI to do my job for me even as I acknowledge that it diminishes my critical reasoning. Uhhh just have an editor tell me what to do, say, and write? Uhhh, I end statements in an inflection that sounds like a question?” Give me a break. How can you idiots think any loss of critical reasoning is good. They should have AI do your jobs, it would be about as grammatically correct and pointless.
Don’t play it so safe.

How can you have an episode on Starlink without mentioning how it could affect the Russian invasion? You vaguely referred to Musk being erratic, Poland, etc., but what about discussing how this figures into “negations” of the war? I get if you don’t want to talk much about politics (just boring technical stuff), but if Musk cuts off Starlink to Ukraine — which has happened — it needs to be better reported what that will mean for Ukrainian soldiers.
Love this podcast :)

Meh

Would be so much better without Casey who talks too much, cuts off people, and is very annoying making it sound childish.
The Vergecast but boring

Lame and annoying, from the programming on down.
