The WHEALTHY Life™ with Kyle Maiorana

In this episode, we sit down with Kyle Maiorana, RDN, IFNCP, a board-certified Integrative and Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Certified Gastrointestinal Nutritionist (CGN), Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert (CNE), and founder of Root Down Nutrition. Kyle's journey into functional nutrition began after a life-changing health crisis. As a former ICU dietitian, she followed conventional nutrition and medical recommendations until a severe bout of food poisoning triggered a cascade of health challenges. Despite experiencing digestive issues, food sensitivities, hormone imbalances, skin concerns, nutritional deficiencies, toxic exposures, and impaired detoxification pathways, she was repeatedly told that her symptoms had nothing to do with diet or lifestyle and that symptom management was her only option. Determined to find answers, Kyle turned to integrative and functional medicine. Through personalized testing, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions, she addressed the root causes of her symptoms and transformed her health. Today, she helps others do the same by cutting through the confusion surrounding nutrition, supplements, and functional testing. As a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert, Kyle is passionate about making healthy eating both practical and enjoyable. Her philosophy is simple: You should never have to sacrifice great food for great health." In this conversation, we discuss: • The connection between gut health and overall wellness • Food sensitivities and digestive dysfunction • Functional nutrition testing and when it's helpful • Nutritional deficiencies and hormone balance • The role of lifestyle factors in chronic health concerns • How to navigate conflicting nutrition advice • Practical ways to improve your health without sacrificing the foods you love   Follow Kyle: 📍 Root Down Nutrition Website: https://www.rootdownnutrition.com/?utm_source=chatgpt.com 📍 Root Down Nutrition Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rootdownnutrition/   If you're overwhelmed by the endless stream of nutrition information and wondering what actually applies to you, this episode provides clarity, actionable insights, and a fresh perspective on achieving lasting health.

The WHEALTHY™ Life With Liev Dalton

A few weeks ago, I was scrolling YouTube looking for something to listen to on my morning walk — and I came across a video of a young man walking through the snow, talking to the camera.   Within the first few moments, I was hooked.   He was saying something I'd spent years trying to articulate in my own practice — that people pour thousands of hours and thousands of dollars into supplements, protocols, and medical therapies, chasing the one thing that will finally make them feel whole. When in reality, true healing is found by returning to something much simpler: simplicity itself. Faith. Adherence to natural law.   That hit me. Because it's exactly what I discovered when I made the leap from emergency medicine to integrative health.   Early in my career, I did what I was trained to do — I put people on medications, referred them to surgery, intervened. Forced healing. And then slowly, through my own life and my integrative studies, I started seeing a much bigger, much more complete picture. True healing isn't something a doctor does to a patient. It's something a patient allows. And it's not purely physical — there is a mental and spiritual dimension to healing that isn't just important — it may be the most important part of all.   Liev has a phrase that stopped me cold when I first heard it: "The body cannot heal through force. The body must be allowed to heal." Simple. Obvious. And yet — almost everything in modern medicine, and even modern wellness, does the opposite.   Liev Dalton discovered the same truth by a completely different path. He walked away from a biochemistry degree and a future in dentistry. He walked away from a successful therapy practice. Because both systems kept hitting the same ceiling — treating the symptom, missing the person.   His platform, Beyond Terrain, is built on one core belief: that health is our natural state, and that the path back to it isn't more intervention — it's less noise, more nature, and a return to who we actually are.   I think you're going to love this conversation. Welcome, Liev.

The Woman Who Reads People to Sleep: Kerri Hunt

Kerri Hunt didn't set out to become the internet's most calming voice. She was a homeschool mom of six, newly empty-nested, quietly wondering if her best days were behind her. She joined a life coach certification program—fully convinced she would never actually coach anyone. Then a friend shared her podcast with the world… and suddenly, 20,000 downloads followed. In this conversation, we cover a lot of ground. Almost none of it goes where you'd expect. We explore: Why the "thought download" is one of the most underrated tools for overwhelm—and how pen to paper can rival a therapy session The difference between coaching and counseling (one is archaeology, the other is architecture) What 24 years of homeschooling teaches about how people get stuck—and how they get unstuck • Why your purpose might already be in front of you—and the problem with waiting to be happy until you find it How your thoughts are literally showing—the science of energy, aura, and why even your dog senses tension What people are truly searching for (Kerri's two-word answer might be the most powerful moment of the episode)  Plus, Kerri reads a live passage from Theo of Golden that will stop you in your tracks. Kerri is warm, disarmingly honest, and genuinely fun. This is a conversation worth your full attention.
