100NO 586: Do You Want to Live Forever?

The new Channel Nine series – Do You Want to Live Forever? – has given us much to talk about…and that’s just after the first episode!

In exploring the quest for a longer life, Tracy Grimshaw and Dr Nick Coatsworth follow 8 Australians as they seek to understand if we can in fact rewind our biological clock through health interventions.

Damian questions if the biological clock approach is the new way of bringing urgency to the health conversation. If the 4 pillars are centered around diet, exercise, sleep and stress – what of the importance of connection and the role it plays in mastering the art of ageing well.

    100NO 581: Is Breakfast the Devil's meal?

    100NO 581: Is Breakfast the Devil's meal?

With the rising popularity of fasting, has breakfast been demonized unfairly? What does it mean to be a breakfast eater today? Is it eggs and greens to kickstart your day like Marcus or is it an Espresso or two to tide you over to your first meal of the day, sometime around lunchtime when the hanger kicks in? Damo sees breakfast as an opportunity to provide fuel for the brain to get going for the day ahead, so that we can think clearly. An opportunity to help balance our moods, hormones and creating less stress within the body. Maybe breakfast isn’t for you and eating your calorie load across two meals in the afternoon works great for you. But if breakfast is the meal that you look forward to most and it helps you feel balanced, don’t skip it just because everyone else is doing it. One size does not fit all.

Irish Colette ,

Brilliant podcast!

I’ve just listened to your recent podcast on Arthritis and really enjoyed it. I love your approach to wellness and it’s so empowering to know there’s always something we can do to prevent these conditions developing or worsening. You’ve definitely got my vote for more of the single condition episodes and I’d love to hear one on Osteoporosis. Keep up the great work!

Pretty poor form to not watch the documentary before the interview and then make the discussion largely about yourself
