Episode 147 - Breathwork Training For Men Over 40 – Mental Recovery Techniques
Studies have shown that controlled breathing strengthens the respiratory muscles and increases lung capacity. Deep breathing improves cognitive functions and testosterone levels, which decline as men age. Breathwork has additional physiological and mental benefits that we will discuss in this episode.
I’ll share my experience with breathwork, including how power breathing techniques helped me recover from cryptogenic organizing pneumonia that had me on a deathbed. I’ll explain the difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and how breathwork can help activate the body's natural parasympathetic response.
We’ll focus on diaphragmatic and deep breathing techniques and their benefits. I will also provide practical tips on incorporating these breathing techniques into your daily routine. However, the best way to learn and implement breathwork properly is through guided breathing sessions.
My 21-day breathwork program will help you implement breathing techniques consistently for optimal health and recovery. Tune in to learn the full benefits of breathwork and for further details on the breathwork program.
